About Us
Meet Peter, the founder of Big Michaels Fruit and Vegetables. Peter started Big Michael's back in 2009, with the help of his father Michael Marinos who started working in the markets in 1987 a few years after arriving here from Greece. This is when our family was introduced to the fruit game and for myself to come in and have most of the salesman and community already knowing who we were was a huge vantage point in gaining trust and building relationships with salesmen. This gave me a cutting edge feel on pricing and inside information on when to buy produce, to get a head and when to hold off.
I started with one ute and one customer. Through a lot of hard work, long hours, and dedication the business is more successful than ever and now our Big Michael’s fleet has grown to over 45 trucks and a customer clientele of over 3500+.
We are conveniently located in the heart of the Brisbane Markets on Sherwood Road, Rocklea. This enables Big Michael's to buy direct from the various Growers and Local Farmers which ensures that we can offer the best possible price and also our customers receive the freshest of quality which is delivered daily.
We tailor make orders to suit our customers' purpose whether it be a juice bar, a cafe, or a fine-dining restaurant, we will assist them in selecting the most appropriate produce. We also supply free range and cage-free eggs, processed fruit and vegetables, freshly squeezed juices, Australian only frozen berries and fruit, nuts, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Kalamata Olives, yoghurts, cheese, honey, firewood ,water and lots more.
Our trucks are refrigerated, and we are HACCP accredited. If you have any questions our friendly office staff are here to assist.
